Terms of service.
Last updated 23 October 2026. Sama suomeksi · Samma på svenska.
These terms explain what is sold through treat.health, who sells it, how payment works and how to cancel. Using the Treat app is also governed by the terms you accept when you sign up: the patient terms and the employer terms. On prices, payment, cancellation and refunds, these terms apply if the two differ.
1 — Who we are
Treat Health Oy (business ID 3618620-6, VAT number FI36186206), Kampinkuja 2, 00100 Helsinki, Finland, runs the Treat platform.
Customer support: [email protected], phone +358 9 4315 5946. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
2 — What is sold, and by whom
Two services are sold through Treat, by different sellers.
| Service | Seller | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Treat platform subscription for employers: access for their employees to remote doctor visits, plus usage reporting | Treat Health Oy | A monthly fee per covered employee, agreed in your contract at sign-up: EUR 8 plus VAT, or a discounted price |
| Remote doctor visit by chat | The healthcare provider who treats you: a clinic, or a licensed doctor working as an independent practitioner. The provider is named in the app before you pay | EUR 72 per visit for consumers without an employer contract. Through an employer contract: the per-visit price agreed at sign-up, EUR 24.99 when the employee pays. For a visit about an illness, Kela also pays EUR 8 directly to the provider |
The healthcare provider, not Treat Health Oy, provides the medical service and is responsible for it. Treat Health Oy is not a healthcare provider. Healthcare services are exempt from VAT.
3 — Who pays for a visit
An employer with a Treat subscription decides whether it also pays for visits. If it does, you pay nothing. If it does not, you pay EUR 24.99 yourself. Without an employer subscription, you pay EUR 72. The price is always shown before you submit a case, and you pay by card in the app or by invoice, as described in section 4.
4 — Payment
Subscription. Billed monthly in advance, based on the number of covered employees on the first day of the month. You pay by e-invoice with payment due in 14 days, or by card if you choose card payment. The subscription renews every month until it is cancelled. When you choose card payment, you agree to the monthly recurring charge. You get an invoice or receipt by email every month. There are no free trials.
Visits. A one-off payment per visit, with no subscription. When you pay yourself, you pay by card in the app or by invoice and get an invoice or receipt by email. The receipt names the healthcare provider who sold the visit. Visits an employer pays for are invoiced monthly per doctor chat, by the provider or by Treat Health Oy on the provider's behalf.
Card payment through Adyen N.V. is an option our business customers can choose, both for their subscription and for their employees' self-paid visits. Until card payment is launched, where a customer has not chosen it, and for consumers without an employer contract, payments are invoiced: the subscription by Treat Health Oy, and visits by the healthcare provider or by Treat Health Oy on its behalf. Card payments are processed by Adyen N.V. Treat Health Oy never sees or stores your full card details. Adyen pays a visit's price to the healthcare provider's own account, less Treat Health Oy's platform fee. Treat Health Oy never holds the provider's share.
5 — Delivery
All services are delivered online, in Finland, in Finnish, Swedish or English. The subscription starts when your employer account is activated. Employees then sign in with strong electronic identification. A visit takes place by chat in the app. Doctors currently review cases every day from 08:00 to 20:00 Finnish time. Treat is not an emergency service: in an emergency, call 112.
6 — Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a visit for free before a doctor opens your case. An employer can cancel the subscription at any time with 30 days' notice. The full rules, including when you get your money back, are in our refund, cancellation and dispute policy. The 14-day right of withdrawal for distance sales does not apply to a doctor visit, because it is a healthcare service.
7 — Complaints and disputes
Contact [email protected] first. For a visit, we pass your complaint to the healthcare provider, who decides it. A complaint about the medical care itself (muistutus) is filed with the provider; its patient ombudsman (potilasasiavastaava) can help you. If a consumer dispute is not resolved, contact the Consumer Advisory Services first; you may then take it to the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta).
8 — Governing law
Finnish law applies. Consumers keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law. Disputes between businesses are settled in the Helsinki District Court.
9 — Changes
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. We announce a price change or other material change to a running subscription at least 30 days in advance. You may then cancel the subscription without notice, effective from the date of the change.
